Building hope, changing lives

What is Habitat for Humanity of Gallatin Valley?

what-is

Building houses, building hope…

Habitat for Humanity of Gallatin Valley (HfHGV) helps people transform their lives by partnering with families and our communities to construct well-built affordable housing. As on affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, we pledge to make shelter a matter of conscience for people around the world.

Since 1991, we have built 51 homes in the Gallatin Valley and Park County, and through our tithing to Habitat for Humanity International we’ve helped fund over 50 homes internationally.

Affordable housing continues to be a pressing need in our community. We invite you to help increase our capacity to build homes and transform the lives of families in need in your community and around the world.

families by building simple, quality,
affordable home ownership through
our continual partnership of
community and God.

Our vision

Our values

Humility: We believe it is important to be in fellowship with others, our partner families, volunteers and donors, in a modest way, without arrogance. Our partnerships are not greater to lesser. It is a mutual ministry, one to another, meant to help all of us grow into the people God calls us to be as neighbors, friends, and family and to provide a hand-up to those around us.

Justice: We believe it is important to be fair in all our dealings, whether verbal, financial or in our physical labors, with our partner families, volunteers and those who partner with us in providing affordable housing for the people of Gallatin Valley and Park County.

Loving Kindness/Mercy: We believe it is important to fulfill our commitments to meet the needs of others as God commands us to do via providing opportunities for affordable housing; and honor our commitments to our volunteers and partners of being fiscally responsible with the funds they have entrusted to us and making efficient use of the material, time and people resources they have entrusted to us.

Ethics: We value the dedication of our Board of Directors and staff and seek to empower them through ongoing professional development and support in order to achieve our mission with the highest of ethical standards.
