Building hope, changing lives

Volunteer With Habitat for Humanity of Gallatin Valley

Send a message to the Volunteer Coordinator

We would love to hear from you! Please fill out this form and we will get in touch with you shortly.

We would love to have your help!

Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors  provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor – “sweat equity” – into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses.

Volunteer on a construction project

Skilled or unskilled groups and individuals

We need skilled and unskilled individuals and groups to partner with us in building the homes, as well as to assist us with volunteer management. A particular volunteer need in construction is the expertise of professional sub-contractors, such as drywall tapers, vinyl/carpet installers, cabinet installers, and finish carpenters.

Our construction site is open Wednesday through Saturday, 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm. Individuals are welcome to volunteer during those times, and do not need to schedule in advance. If you would like to bring a group of volunteers (5 or more, limit 20), please go to Volunteer Connections of SW Montana or, contact the office to schedule the day and time. No experience or tools are necessary; Habitat will provide all tools and safety equipment, as well as instruction on specific tasks.
